I’m Elana.

I am an architect, interior designer and design writer.

With over a decade of experience working in residential architecture and interior design studios in Cape Town, London, Sydney and New York, I have developed a design signature that speaks to my true passion - creating homes for people that speak to who they are, that elevate their everyday lives and that speak of beauty, luxury and durability. Always on the hunt for tactility and originality, I simply create warm, layered spaces that reflect the personalities of my clients.

I don’t believe that you need to follow trends, or spend inordinate amounts of money to create a beautiful home. Each project begins with a close reading of place - light, orientation, landscape and existing fabric - shaping interiors that feel grounded, resolved and quietly expressive.

My work and design journalism has has been featured in numerous premium publications, including Wallpaper, Dwell, The Australian, Sunday Life, Habitus and Architectural Digest.

I currently reside in a 1950’s beach bungalow in Bondi in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs. Follow me as I transform it into an updated sanctuary that reflects my studio’s ethos and my love for this beachside neighbourhood.
